I have had my eye on some vintage apron patterns for a while. This week, after a small compromise, I made one! However, it (the compromise) was work related and I read once that you should never blog about work....so if you really want to know, or don't already know...you can email me. If you don't really care, which is fine because it really is not significant, then don't bother. (Of course, I've now made a big deal about it....which I should have just said: "I made an apron"....maybe I'll delete this whole post and start over.....but then what would be the point of me typing right now? Ummmmm....I'll leave it, why not?)
Anyway, APRON......
I found some really cute fabric, that looked vintage to me. I added some rick-rack to the bottom to add some character. I'm planning on adding a pocket with my name embroidered on it. (Question: Why do you need a pocket on an apron?) I also bought some stablizer for the band portion...got that idea from Emily and her notebook cover.
I made it on Tuesday night (which is a hint to the above paragraph). I intended on making the pocket today, but didn't have a chance yet. Since I've been a procrastinating blogger this week...or should I say this past month, I decided to just go ahead and blog about it anyway.
It was fun, easy and super quick.....might have to make another.....I should have borrowed Emily's title - Done, but just getting started!

Talk about great pictures! The apron is great...all those blogs make me want to sew an apron too...was there a pattern you used?
So what's this about compromise...is this something I'm going to have to email you about?
I haven't made anymore notebook covers but I did start a table runner tonight...usning the stabilizer I bought for the notebooks.
great idea for a Christmas present for your mother....
isn't it bric-a-brac?
Mom, are you serious?
What the heck is bric-a-brac?
It is rick rack.....
Emily,
I'll email ya....
I think bric-a-brac is something, but I'll have to google it. I love the apron! Very vintage!!!
JCarolineCreative is a great website, thanks for the link! Printed two patterns...Certainly I wish I could sew all weekend. Pieced two more table runners...but will I finish them?

IT'S GOOGLE TIME GIRLS...
I stand corrected...but now Robin can add her apron to her bric-a-brac collection
