Week in Review

Here are a few highlights from this week....

  • Won 2nd Place in a Chili Cook-off with my super easy and definitely delicious White Chicken Chili.

  • Still a 1 car family....the part for Michael's truck is on national backorder!

  • Checked out Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace book from the library. If I can get my act in order, I will have Conversation Peace and Financial Peace!

  • Received a $50 rebate check in the mail!

  • Walked to lunch with a co-worker...crossed Capital Circle at lunch time...it was an adventure, plus I got some exercise.

  • Turned off the a/c...we have our windows wide open. Boy do I need to clean the window tracks!

  • Ate too many belly flops....rejected jelly bellies. Like I needed to add to my already floppy belly! Oops!

1. Glad to hear you're still making white chili...I thought it was an award winner 12 years ago...just mentioning it Josh wants to move back ...

2. Where did you get belly flops?
Josh wants to know if you threw up, espec. after eating a licorice?

3. Your belly comment reminded me that I so appreciate you pointing out the way the pool gives "jelly" belly feeling...except I'm still feeling it!

4. The audio Dave Ramsey is good too, Josh probably returned that one late too, hope you can get it back on time.

Re: 4
Great idea about the audio book. Michael doesn't read. In fact, we checked out an audio book for our drive down last weekend. Well, the book ended abruptly, very abruptly...I checked at our library and they have the 2nd book, but not on audio. Michael, who was really into the book, said that he would wait until they get an audio book. I tried to tell him that chances are...they won't. He was fine with it.....only because he doesn't want to read.
P.S. The book was written for ages 9-12 yr. old.

The Jelly Belly factory is up north near where Michael's aunt and uncle live. They send belly flops every year...and they brought some down this time!

Oh...and I don't eat the licorice ones....those are reserved for Michael...because I might just throw up! LOL

I have both the first and second book, now. I checked the second one out at my stinky library and Sherry loaned me a copy of the first. I need to pick them back up and finish them.
Poor Michael never learned to read? How sad....:)
I wonder if you can order belly flops online???

Melissa, have you ordering belly flops? One of my friends in Cal. got some belly flops and was throwing the buttered popcorn out the window while they drove home...those are my favorites!
