I machine appliqued an 'R' onto the bag. When I went to sew it all together, I realized that the 'R' was not centered. If you know me, you know this was a problem for me. I quickly improvised and decided to hand embroider the rest of my name. My first attempt is not perfection, but it certainly is cute. This was the 1st time I've appliqued something and I had to go around the 'R' again because I didn't have the zig-zag set right the first time.....
The idea is a cute one. Shoe bags are usually for individual shoes..that's probably why they said to use old jeans...you would need two legs to make two bags.
ReplyDeleteVery cute personalization. I'm glad the r was off center...I like the embroidered touch.
Wow! I love this bag. I wish I had a room for crafts. Another project to give to Eric. Michael's room is coming along well.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking more for travel...the shoe bag.
ReplyDeleteGreat fabric you used for the 'r'. Well done sister friend, I was looking over my goodwill bag wondering the same thing this weekend but I went through the kids rooms and got rid of toys and their clothes that don't fit instead. One day I wanna grow up and be just as crafty as you!
ReplyDeleteVery Cute. I think you should make and sell them. How cute it would be for a pair of tap or ballet shoes. Everyone loves items that are personalized.
